100% independence from PC resources. SOUND4 cards only require the energy from the power supply, nothing else!
3 x inputs: AES with SRC from 32 – 192 kHz, analogue audio and audio directly via the PCI bus (through audio driver).
Mixer function with built-in silence detector.
5 outputs are available at the same time: TX1 (MPX), TX2 (MPX), AES, analogue audio, and directly via the PCI bus through audio drivers, i.e. for internet streams.

The SOUND4 card also acts as the host PC’s “watchdog”: with the processing cards being independent from the operating system, the card can monitor the operating system and can “revive” it through a subtle “reboot” (it works sometimes wonders...) should it crash at some point. In short, the Sound4 card reboots the PC automatically in the event of a crash, avoiding even the shortest broadcast interruption.
